Bilan Patch 2018 - 2018 Quilting record

La fin de l'année nous incite à en faire le bilan...  We are reaching the end of the year  and with it annual record...
Cela fait plusieurs mois que je n'ai rien publié....  I didn't published for a few months...
En septembre, il y a eu Ste Marie Last September I went to Ste Marie as usual


et le séminaire post-carrefour avec Angela Walters and after there was the seminar post carrefour with Angela Walters



Ce fut formidable et tellement intense ! It was wonderful and so intense !
Mais peut-être trop... je ne sais pas mais il est vrai que je n'ai pas fait beaucoup de patch depuis... Maybe too much... I don't know but it is true that I didn't quilt anything since then...
J'ai tout de même terminé mon défi 2018 : le Dashing de Cory Anders I have nevertheless finished my 2018 challenge : Dashing of Cory Anders



J'ai fait quelques blocs pour un projet du club... que je vous présenterai bientôt... I made some blocks for a project for our club. I'll show them soon.…

D'abord les QAL... - First let's talk about QAL

J'ai un top !!! I have a top !!!


Eh oui ! Le "Dashing" est assemblé et prêt pour le dernier tirage au sort qui aura lieu demain !! Yes ! The "Dashing" quilt top is done and ready for the last draw tomorrow !!
et le "Community Sampler" prend bonne forme puisque les blocs sont assemblés ! and the "Community Sampler" quilt is taking a good shape after all the blocks put together !


Je précise que mon fond est d'un beau rouge framboise... à la limite du rose donc...  que la photo ne permet pas de bien visualiser... I precise that my background fabric is a beautiful raspberry red... nearly pink... the picture can't show it well...
Reste à faire encore les bordures mais j'ai bon espoir 😀 Still the borders to do but I am confident 😀

QAL Community Sampler

Actuellement tous mes blocs sont faits ! All my blocks are done at this day !

Reste à assembler... Now to put them together...
Oui, oui ! Je pris un peu de retard dans mes projets... mais j'ai bien profité des vacances avec Boxman en Belgique où nous avons retrouvé Anne-Marie et sa famille ! I know ! I know ! I'm a little bit late... but I was on holidays with Boxman. We went to Belgium and visit Anne-Marie and her family. We had a very good time !

QAL Dashing

Il y a eu la deuxième étape avec 10 blocs supplémentaires We had the second step with 10 more blocks

ce qui nous en fait 20 so 20 at this time

et puis la troisième : and then the third step :

et voici toutes mes étoiles these are my complete star blocks

et toutes mes barattes and my complete churn dash blocks

Il n'y a plus qu'à assembler le tout !! Now only to put them together !!
Et "hourra!!!" grâce à cette 3ième étape j'ai eu la chance d'être tirée au sort et j'ai gagné le cadeau de PSR Quilt ! And "hooray!!!" thanks to this third step I was lucky to win the PSR Quilt gift !

Trop contente !! So happy !!

Les paniers et Nantes - Baskets and Nantes

Est-ce possible ?? Un mois est passé... Is this possible ?? A complete month has gone...
J'ai beaucoup de choses à vous dire ! I have so many things to tell !

J'ai pu finir le quilt à temps pour le challenge  grâce au splendide quilting machine réalisé par Claude !
I managed to finish my quilt in time for the challenge thanks to Claude who made a splendid machine quilting !


et Alice m'a fait grand plaisir en l'exposant sur son stand du salon "Pour l'amour du fil" à Nantes il y a quelques jours... and I was very happy that Alice wanted to show the quilt on her booth during the quilt show "Pour l'amour du fil" (for the love of thread) in Nantes a few days ago...

pour illustrer la collection "Garden dreamer" de Maureen Cracknell que l'on peut trouver dans sa boutique in order to illustrate Maureen Cracknell fabrics "Garden dreamer" that you can find at her shop

Point Patchwork - About Quilting

Les jours défilent... heureusement j'ai pu finir mon top à temps pour le  QAL des Paniers organisé par Cécile

Février se termine... et voici où j'en suis February is ending... and this is where I am

j'ai maintenant tous les blocs et une idée assez précise de l'assemblage... now I have all the blocks and a pretty clear view of the setting...
 il me reste à commander le tissu !! 😁 all I have to do is to buy the missing fabrics !! 😁

Wayward Transparency QAL : la fin ! - the end !

Je suis très contente d'avoir tenu mon engagement I'm happy to have kept my word
 et je suis fière de vous présenter mon quilt terminé !! and I'm proud to show you my finished quilt !!

QAL Les Paniers - QAL Baskets

Quand Cécile a annoncé son QAL, j'ai tout de suite répondu présente !! When Cécile told about a QAL, I immediately said yes !!
Voilà un défi bien amusant ! This is a really fun challenge !
Il s'agit de faire 2 paniers par semaine, libre choix de modèle, en traditionnel ou moderne. We have to do 2 baskets a week, free choice of pattern, traditional or modern.
Evidemment, j'ai opté pour le moderne ! Of course I chose the modern way !
Ensuite il a fallu trouver une idée .... Then I needed to find an idea...
Finalement mon choix s'est arrêté sur le bloc proposé par Lori Holt dans son livre "Farm Girl Vintage" Finally I chose a Lori Holt bloc in her book "Farm Girl Vintage"


les explications sont limpides et les blocs peuvent se faire en 2 dimensions : 6 1/5 et 12 1/5'  the explanations are clear and we can make the block in 2 dimensions : 6 1/2 and 12 1/5'

intéressant pour les assembler ensuite... it will be interesting to put them together later...

Nous avons eu les instructions pour la suite du QAL Waywrad Transparancy et voici ce que ça donne : We received the instructions to continue the Wayward Transparency QAL and here is the result :

Pendant ce temps Boxman est allé faire du cartonnage chez Cath and Co Meanwhile Boxman went to make some cardboarding at Cath and Co
sa dernière réalisation est une valisette-lutrin pour brodeuse : his last work is a small suitcase-bookstand for embroiderer :





et je m'active pour terminer mon calendrier de l'Avent pour Del à temps !! and I'm busy to finish my Advent calendar for Del in time !!

Wayward Transparency QAL

Il y a déjà quelques temps, notre bonne fée du patch Coco avait publié un article sur différents QAL, autrement dit Quilt Along ou quiltons ensemble... Some times ago our nice quilting fairy Coco published an article about different QAL on her blog...
J'avais immédiatement flashé sur le modèle proposé par Yvonne Fuchs ou Quilting Jetgirl ! I immediately had a crush on Yvonne Fuchs aka Quilting Jetgirl  pattern !



Yvonne est une designer américaine de quilts modernes. Un  de ses modèles est paru dans le Simply Moderne de Quiltmania n°9 : Yvonne is an American designer of modern quilt. There was one of her pattern in Quiltmania Simply Modern n°9 :



J'ai tout de suite imaginé le beau quilt proposé pour le QAL sur le mur de ma chambre At once I could see the beautiful quilt proposed for the QAL on my bedroom wall
Simple mais avec un magnifique travail de transparence simple with a wonderful work on transparency
